Stepping Stone Farm is located just east of Cleveland , Ohio in the beautiful Chagrin Valley.  The business started in July of 2007, as a result of a series of events. 

     I started riding at the age of seven and like most little girls, was in love with horses. I rode and showed throughout my childhood.  I managed to show and work in a barn through my college years. 

     After college I took a job teaching elementary school.  Shortly after I met my husband, got married and we bought a hunter jumper farm.  I continued to ride and show.

     After my two daughters were born, I thought I would probably slow down with my riding.  However, that never happened.  What did happen is that both the girls decided they wanted to ride.

    Let’s just say, the apples don’t fall from the tree.  Naturally, with my teaching background, I started to teach them.  Next thing I knew they were showing, and I was riding and schooling their ponies.

     They finally convinced me to start my own business and here we are.  In fact, they came up with the name Stepping Stone.  When I had sold their first ponies I explained to them that the ponies were stepping stones in their learning.  They would get new mounts to learn on, and their ponies would go on to teach other kids how to ride.  They never forgot that and although they have seen many ponies come and go, they love each one and know their time will come to say good-bye and move on.
